Master’s program in «Medicine» is provided by Educational and Scientific Centre «Institute of Biology and Medicine» at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The program provides cutting edge knowledge in fundamental and clinical medicine as well as practical skills for medical students for their future professional work as a medical doctors (MD).

Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is one of the leading universities in the biomedical field in Ukraine since 1841 as well as holding positions in the international rankings nowadays.

Master’s Programme in Medicine is classical medical education program (360 ECTS credits, 6 academic years), aiming to prepare student for future clinical practice along with master’s diploma from Ukraine, which is EU associated member. This educational programme focuses on basic medical and biological knowledge, builds strong relations with clinical topics and guides students on how it is used to drive medical developments forward. As a medical student, the first two years of the programme provides you with an advanced fundamental medical base of healthy individual, that builds understanding of clinical problem. Then students are focused on the study of unhealthy people within a different subject of clinical medicine. The educational program consists of both compulsory subjects and other courses students are obliged to take.

Teaching is provided by high-skilled tutors: full professors, associate professor as well as assistant professors with international experience. The fundamentals of medicine are studied at the well-equipped laboratories and study centers, whereas learning of clinical subjects is organized at teaching hospitals and simulation center of university. The pandemic issues are considered, thus online technologies are currently in high use along with the offline activities, according to current legal regulations in Kyiv.

Educational and Scientific Centre «Institute of Biology and Medicine» at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is a large research center, allowing medical student to combine their studies with research activities within selected topics.
