5 квітня 2023 року (середа) о 8:40 в ННЦ «Інститут біології та медицини» в рамках освітньо-наукового проєкту «Освіта та наука без кордонів» та реалізації освітньої діяльності за Освітньо-професійними програмами «Біологія» та «Біотехнологія», за запрошенням кафедри біофізики та медичної інформатики буде проведена відкрита лекція Marianne Tare, Associate Professor, Monash Rural Health – Churchill, Monash University, Victoria, Australia

Marianne is the Director of the first year of the Graduate Entry Medicine Program at Monash University, Victoria, Australia. She lectures in Physiology and is passionate about training the next generation of doctors and scientists. Marianne’s main research focus is on the mechanisms that regulate the function of resistance arteries in health and disease. She has a particular interest in the developmental origins of health and disease, whereby exposure to adverse conditions very early in life can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. Some of the early life insults she has studied range from nutritional deficiencies through to substance abuse. Her work has been published in international peer-reviewed journals including Nature, Circulation Research, Circulation, Hypertension, Trends in Pharmacological Sciences and the Journal of Physiology.

She also has research interests in medical education and rural health. Marianne is the immediate past president of the Australian and New Zealand Microcirculation Society. Marianne is a regular reviewer for international scientific journals and is a Review Editor for Frontiers in Integrative Physiology. She is a reviewer for national and international grant funding agencies. She is on the scientific advisory committee for the upcoming 12 th World Congress for Microcirculation, China 2023.
